Job summary

BD is seeking an engineering professional to own end-to-end product development projects in a fast-paced medical technology environment. You will shepherd designs from concept through verification and validation, coordinating across R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years in industry with a BS in a engineering discipline, plus experience in design validation and Six Sigma training.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum 6 years of industrial experience in R&D or process development.
• Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ validation and verification reports.
• Six Sigma training (DfSS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end execution of product engineering projects, incl. sustaining change requests and obsolescence projects.
• Design, develop and implement medical device products and processes; translate inputs into specs and drawings.
• Plan, coordinate and build test parts for evaluation, pre-clinical and clinical studies; make engineering decisions.
• Prepare SOPs, raw material specs, and verification/validation protocols and reports.
• Lead cross-functional teams and mentor R&D technicians; support manufacturing and quality/compliance.
