Job summary

Cadent, powered by Syneos Health, is seeking a Principal Medical Writer to lead development of high-quality, strategic publications aligned with clients' science and business goals. You will ensure accuracy, credibility, and quality of manuscripts, literature reviews, abstracts, posters, and slides under author direction.

Qualifications

• Advanced health sciences degree (PhD/MD/PharmD or equivalent).
• 4–6 years of professional medical communications experience.
• CMPP certification is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; PubMed/EMBASE experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop narratives for medical communications across formats.
• Interpret complex scientific data for varied audiences.
• Synthesize and visualize data effectively for assets.
• Proofread and review drafts by junior writers.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams for project outlines.
• Ensure accuracy with references and fact checking.
• Prepare materials for regulatory review as needed.
• Train new joiners when required.
• Manage multiple projects across accounts in a fast-paced setting.
• Meet deadlines and raise issues with solutions.
