Job summary

LILT is seeking senior linguists to join our Medical Talent Community. Home-based, contract work in Life Sciences translation with a focus on regulatory review and GMP-compliant SOPs.

Ideal candidates are based in the USA, hold a translation/linguistics degree, and have extensive experience in medical/biotech localization. Candidates must follow terminology precisely and thrive in GxP, ISO 17100 environments.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in the target language(s).
• Based in the United States of America.
• Graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
• 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
• Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely.
• Professional experience in translation and localization within the Medical/Life Sciences domains.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Review: Adapting and validating target text to meet compliance standards.
• Life Sciences Expertise: Demonstrable experience in translating for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or biotechnology.
• Standard Operating Procedures: Ability to work within strict GxP environments and adhere to ISO 17100 quality standards.
