You will assess risk factors for enrollment, renewals and amendments, and prepare analyses to support pricing and financial activity for clients and producers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, business, computer science or other quantitative analysis discipline
• 5–7 years of underwriting experience for self-funded and converting fully insured prospects to self-funding
• Strong numerical and analytical capabilities with attention to detail
• Ability to interpret pricing policy and apply corporate risk management policies
• Experience working with internal departments and external stakeholders to manage risk and pricing decisions

Responsibilities

• Renew a book of business and write new business at profitable levels to meet targets
• Calculate rates and interpret pricing policies for various arrangements
• Identify questionable renewal patterns and competitor gaps to inform pricing
• Apply risk policies and adapt pricing for unusual client situations
• Ensure client compliance with risk management policies and enrollment criteria
• Provide technical guidance to junior analysts and support process improvements
• Prepare reports with rationale on underwriting results, rate computations, and financial activity
