Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, business, CS or related quantitative field.
• 5–7 years of underwriting experience in self-funded and converting fully insured prospects.
• Substitutions: 6 years relevant progressive experience.

Responsibilities

• Renew accounts and write new business at profitable levels to meet targets.
• Calculate rates and interpret pricing policy; adapt to unusual situations.
• Identify questionable claim patterns and advise on pricing for prospects.
• Apply corporate risk management policies and adjust for unusual pricing scenarios.
• Identify non-compliance with risk management policies and enrollment criteria.
• Support internal initiatives such as fraud detection and product development.
