Job summary

Medtronic in Colorado is seeking a Software Engineer focused on maintenance of medical software products, addressing End of Life issues, vulnerability scanning, and SBOM monitoring across multiple tech stacks.

You will provide technical leadership for the maintenance team, support the Technical Service group, and drive design reviews and code quality within SCRUM-enabled Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience.
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.
• 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities.
• Determines systems software design requirements.
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
• Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.
• May work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program needs.
