Job summary

Ipas is seeking a Senior Medical Scientist for a remote-based role focused on safe abortion, contraception, and GBV care quality. The role involves advancing evidence-based guidelines, training, and strategic partnerships at a global level.

You will disseminate findings through publications, present at conferences, and influence policy and practice across diverse settings. The position requires an advanced clinical degree, 10+ years of relevant experience, and strong English communication

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical degree (e.g., nursing, midwifery).
• 10+ years’ experience in clinical practice including reproductive health care.
• Experience in international reproductive health programs and low-resource settings.
• Experience evaluating quality in clinical care and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide and analyze evidence-based technical content for advocacy related to safe abortion.
• Develop technical tools translating evidence into health services.
• Lead on quality and regulatory processes for the Ipas MVA product line.
• Support training of sites and partners on content such as VCAT and contraception care.
• Lead clinical/technical research and dissemination for practice improvement.
• Prepare and analyze service delivery data and issue clinical recommendations.
