Job summary

Ipas is seeking a Senior Medical Scientist to advance safe abortion, contraception, and GBV care quality through technical leadership and evidence dissemination. The role collaborates across the organization to implement innovation, provide strategic guidance, and build external partnerships to maximize impact.

The position involves developing tools, supporting training, and representing Ipas in national and international forums, with travel opportunities up to 20% and a focus on SRHR program

Qualifications

• Commitment to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), especially abortion, contraception and GBV care access.
• Proven ability to develop and translate evidence into clinical content and tools.
• Experience applying scientific clinical information to trainings and programs.
• Ability to work in multicultural, resource-limited settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide and analyze evidence-based technical content for advocacy and program support.
• Develop technical tools translating clinical updates into health services.
• Lead quality and regulatory activities for Ipas MVA products and related care.
• Support training of sites and partners on content such as VCAT, clinical management, trauma-informed care, and risk assessment.
• Lead or participate in clinical research and disseminate findings externally.
