Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior MSL to support specified therapeutic areas across a geography. The role centers on scientific exchange with healthcare professionals and alignment with product lifecycle objectives.

You will build and maintain expert relationships, educate clinicians on disease states and AbbVie's therapies, and collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (PharmD/MD/PhD/APP).
• Typically 3+ years for Senior MSL; 0-2 for MSL.
• Must translate territory needs into medical objectives.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Willing to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders and researchers.
• Present scientific information to healthcare professionals.
• Support research initiatives and investigator meetings.
• Prepare market awareness in new therapeutic areas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
• Serve as a medical resource addressing unsolicited questions.
• Conduct ongoing training for medical affairs and field personnel.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and manage expenses.
