Job summary

State of Hawaiʻi seeks Medical Record Technician at Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) and Halawa Correctional Facility (HCF). Salary ranges from $3,606 to $4,388 monthly (SR-11, Step C to I).

Duties cover para-professional medical record tasks and support for higher-level staff in hospital or facility records departments. Minimum qualifications require 2½ years in a medical records setting, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong office skills including data handling and arithmetic

Qualifications

• Two and a half years of progressively responsible experience in a medical record department or allied program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures relevant to medical records processing.
• Ability to perform arithmetic computations and operate various office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform para-professional medical record functions in a hospital or allied facility according to policy.
• Provide assistance to higher-level medical record staff and support the medical records department.
