Piedmont Columbus Midtown is hiring a Lead Physicist to oversee physics services for therapeutic radiation treatment. You will provide expert technical leadership to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists, ensuring QA and regulatory compliance at the John B.

Amos Cancer Center. The role requires a Masters in Medical Physics, 5+ years of clinical experience, and ABR board certification in Therapeutic Radiation Physics.

Qualifikationen

• Master of Science in Medical Physics or related discipline.
• Five years of clinical experience as a medical physicist in a radiation therapy department.
• Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation Physics; licensure eligibility as required.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to provide technical expertise for treatment programs in external beam, brachytherapy, radiosurgery, and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Perform QA checks based on industry standards on equipment including linear accelerators, CT scanners, treatment planning systems and brachytherapy sources.
• Maintain documentation of commissioning, acceptance, and QA activities for review.
• Provide staff in-services and radiation safety education; participate in instruction of residents, dosimetry students, and therapy students.
• Participate in medical physics and radiation oncology initiatives; attend staff meetings and contribute to program growth.
