Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Lead Medical Physicist for the John B. Amos Cancer Center to oversee physics services for planning and delivery of radiation therapy, and provide technical leadership to physicians, dosimetrists and therapists. The role includes ensuring QA across all equipment and mentoring staff.

The Lead reports to the Manager for Radiation Physics and collaborates with radiation oncologists to optimize treatment quality and program development.

Qualificações

• Minimum education: Masters of Science in Medical Physics or related discipline.
• Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation Physics.

Responsabilidades

• Works with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to provide technical expertise for treatment programs.
• Performs quality assurance checks on all department equipment including linear accelerators and CT scanners.
• Maintains documentation of commissioning, acceptance, and QA activities for review.
• Provides staff in-services and participates in instruction of medical physics residents and students.
• Participates in medical physics and radiation oncology initiatives and attends staff meetings.
