Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Lead Physicist (full-time) to provide physics services for planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatment at the John B. Amos Cancer Center.
You will offer technical leadership, clinical setup expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists, and supervise staff physicists. Responsibilities include QA checks per regulatory requirements, maintaining documentation, mentoring staff, and contributing to program growth.

Provides technical leadership including clinicalset-up expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists. Performs quality assurance checksaccording to regulatory requirements and industry standards for all department equipment. Serves as amentor and team lead for staff medical physicists. Reports to the Manager for Radiation Physics.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Masters of Science in Medical Physics, or related discipline.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Five years of clinical experience as a medical physicist in a radiation therapy department.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation PhysicsAbility to be listed as an authorized user on the State of Georgia Radioactive Material LicensesParticipation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program
