Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior Counsel (Medical Malpractice) based in the United States to lead sophisticated malpractice litigation with substantial autonomy. The role focuses on discovery through trial, client and carrier communication, and collaboration with experts.

The position offers a primarily remote work model with flexibility around court appearances, depositions, and client needs, while providing opportunities to mentor junior attorneys and grow client relationships.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA-approved law school.
• Active California license to practice law.
• 8+ years of substantial litigation experience.
• 3+ years of medical malpractice experience.
• Ability to independently handle matters through all phases of discovery and trial.
• Insurance defense experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage sophisticated medical malpractice and related litigation from discovery through trial.
• Develop case themes and litigation strategies while anticipating opposing arguments.
• Evaluate liability, damages, exposure, and case value to drive resolution or trial.
• Take and defend depositions; collaborate with medical and other expert witnesses.
• Prepare and review substantive briefs, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and insurance carriers with strategic updates.
• Mentor less experienced attorneys and cultivate client relationships.
• Work with attorneys at different levels; own assigned matters.
