Tampa General Hospital, Inc. seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist III to perform diverse lab procedures across licensure specialties with precision and efficiency. You will coordinate lab resources, maintain quality control, and ensure timely, accurate patient results.

Strong LIS/HIS skills and the ability to work in a multi-specialty environment are essential. Florida licensure and ASCP or AMT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters-level knowledge not required; must meet Florida licensure.
• Proven ability to perform laboratory procedures in licensed specialties.

Responsabilités

• Performs all approved laboratory procedures in assigned licensure specialties as workload demands.
• Coordinate lab resources and ensure timely reporting of results.
• Perform quality control, evaluate results, and take corrective action as necessary before reporting patient results.
• Assess specimen integrity for appropriateness of ordered tests (QNS, hemolysis, clotting).
• Ensure procedures and patient results align with age-specific criteria for geriatrics, adults, pediatrics, and neonates.
• Repeat and report all panic/critical test results within 5 minutes to a licensed caregiver.
