Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Pool Medical Laboratory Scientist III to perform a range of laboratory procedures across licensure specialties. The role requires precise execution, independent work, and adherence to Florida lab standards.

You will manage resources, ensure test validity, and report results promptly. The position requires licensed status in all five specialties (Microbiology, Serology, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology) and ASCP or AMT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree required in medical technology, biology, or chemistry.
• Licensure as Clinical Lab Technologist in Florida or a compact state.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform approved laboratory procedures in assigned licensure specialties.
• Coordinate lab resources and ensure quality control for all tests.
• Assess specimen integrity and report results with age-specific considerations.
• Calibrate and maintain instruments; complete proficiency testing.
• Demonstrate competency with LIS and HIS systems.
