Tampa General Hospital, Inc. in Crystal River, FL seeks a Pool Medical Laboratory Scientist III to perform a full range of approved procedures across specialties, coordinating lab resources and ensuring accurate, timely results.

The role requires strong quality control, calibration, and proficiency with LIS and HIS systems. Candidates must hold a FL license, be licensed in all five specialties (Microbiology, Serology, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology), and have an ASCP or AMT

Qualifications

Licensed in all five specialties: Microbiology, Serology, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology.
Proficient with LIS and HIS computer systems.
FL license required or eligible to obtain licensure.

Responsabilités

Perform all approved laboratory procedures across assigned licensure specialties.
Demonstrate independence in all areas covered by the FL license.
Perform quality control, evaluate results, and report patient results.
Assess specimen integrity and order test appropriateness.
Ensure results meet age-specific clinical criteria and report panic/critical results promptly.
Calibrate and maintain instruments and complete proficiency testing.
Coordinate resources and maintain supplies; notify supervisor when low.
