Job summary

Good Samaritan Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Medical Technologist for the Night shift on a Full Time basis. The role includes performing all standard technologist duties and, when needed, supervisory responsibilities to ensure accurate and timely laboratory results.

The position requires an Associate degree in medical technology or related sciences, a current Florida Technologist’s license, and at least five years of experience in the specialty.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical technology or one of the chemical or biological sciences.
• Must hold a current Florida Technologist’s license in the respective specialty(ies).
• Minimum five years’ experience in the respective specialty.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties of a Medical Technologist in the section/shift to which assigned.
• In absence of the section/shift supervisor, performs additional supervisory duties and ensures timely lab results.
• Assists laboratory administration with troubleshooting CQI incidents and arranging staff coverage.

Education

Associate degree in medical technology or one of the chemical or biological sciences

Florida Technologist’s license in the respective specialty(ies)
