Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is seeking a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist to evaluate, analyze, and perform automated and complex lab procedures while monitoring workflow and ensuring regulatory compliance in the assigned area.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, completion of an approved clinical internship, and national certification; three years MLS experience is preferred. Expect comprehensive benefits and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Successful completion of an approved clinical laboratory training internship.
• National Certification such as ASCP, AAB, or AMT, or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains active participation in the corporate technical committee for assigned area to include assisting with policy development and revisions including quality control and maintenance.
• Instrument evaluation and selection and impact on laboratory operations.
• Defining competency requirements and creation of student education plans.
• Input into quality management and process improvement plans; ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Maintains test menus based on organizational needs and ensures the lab meets its objectives.
• Resolves issues and provides solutions to keep daily operations running smoothly.
• Trains new team members and completes competency documentation.
• Ensures readiness for Baptist Health Clinical Laboratory inspections.
