Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Applied Sciences is required.
• ASCP certification or equivalent within one year of hire is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience is required.
• Knowledge of directing the work of Medical Technologists and lower level laboratory staff.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and establish procedures for collecting, processing, and analyzing biological specimens and other substances.
• Perform analytical tests and integrate data from various laboratories to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of results.
• Supervise, mentor, and train Lab Assistants and Phlebotomists; assign tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and safety standards.
