Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Senior Medical Informatics Analyst to join the Health Plan Operations Analytics and Reporting team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, healthcare/appeals and grievances is a plus.
• Experience programming in Python or equivalent is strongly desired.
• Advanced SQL with complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics tools like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Experience in statistical analytics, modeling/forecasting, machine learning; NLP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven insights, operational reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions for decision-making.
• Collaborate with business leaders across Appeals & Grievances and other areas to optimize performance.
• Support key business objectives and improve member, provider, and broker experience.
