Kite Pharma, Inc. is seeking a Senior Medical Director to provide strategic leadership for one or more oncology development programs, guiding clinical development from early stages through registration planning.

This role influences decisions, aligns cross-functional teams, and represents clinical development to senior leadership and external stakeholders. The position requires MD/DO with 6+ years in clinical or drug development, with preferred Hematology/Oncology board certification.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with 6+ years of clinical, scientific and/or drug development experience.
• Board certification in Hematology/Oncology preferred.
• Experience leading oncology drug development programs with clinical strategy and execution.
• Experience with regulatory interactions and major submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical development strategy for one or more oncology programs from IND through early development milestones.
• Provide oversight for one or more clinical studies, ensuring safety, data integrity, and execution.
• Lead cross-functional teams in designing and executing clinical development plans and studies.
• Author protocols, study reports, and regulatory documents; support regulatory interactions.
• Collaborate with regulatory, safety, and translational teams to advance programs.
• Build relationships with investigators and key opinion leaders; present data to stakeholders.
