Job summary

Stryker’s Instruments Test Lab in Portage, MI is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to perform development, verification, and lifecycle testing on next‑generation medical devices.

You will coordinate test plans, develop methods and fixtures, and serve as the primary technical liaison between the Test Lab and Product Development to meet project due dates.

This role may oversee lab staff on multiple shifts and requires a BS in ME or related field, plus hands-on testing and strong communication.

Qualifications

• BS required, ME/ME Tech degree preferred; MS/PhD preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience with BS.
• Basic understanding of testing, lab practices, and metrics.
• Proficient with common lab test equipment.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Occasional lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist design groups from research to final verification testing.
• Develop test methods, fixtures, and test systems for products.
• Coordinate testing with Metrology, Quality, CAE and operations.
• Provide proactive testing planning to meet project due dates.
