Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Senior EMC & RF Test Technician in Portage, MI to advance global regulatory compliance through EMC and RF testing, lab capability development, and project support ensuring medical devices meet evolving standards.

The role involves operating and maintaining EMC/RF test equipment, developing test setups, collaborating with engineering, and documenting results and procedures for quality systems. Travel to external labs may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ experience in electrical, electronics, RF, EMC, or related testing environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems or equipment.
• Experience with data collection and testing software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document EMC and RF testing on medical devices to demonstrate compliance.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and verify EMC and RF lab equipment.
• Configure, build, modify, and verify product test setups for EMC and RF testing.
• Support the development and expansion of in-house EMC/RF testing capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop test strategies and support product development.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and document test failures and observations with findings.
• Create, update, and maintain test procedures and lab documentation.
• Evaluate and procure lab equipment and tools to support EMC/RF testing.
• Identify improvements to increase lab safety, reliability, and data accuracy.
• Travel to external test laboratories to witness and support testing as required.
