Stryker in Portage, MI is seeking a collaborative Senior Design Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical design, product development, and manufacturing processes. You will proactively drive design activities while maintaining focus on quality, compliance, and customer needs.

You will translate inputs into specifications, develop prototypes, and collaborate across R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical) with 2+ years of work experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering practices and design principles.
• Ability to create engineering drawings and models using GD&T and CAE tools.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, modify, and verify medical device components with minimal supervision.
• Translate design inputs into engineering specifications and subsystem designs.
• Develop, prototype, and analyze solutions to establish proof of concept and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to drive project success.
