Job summary

Stryker’s Instruments Test Lab in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to perform development, verification, and lifecycle testing on next-generation medical devices. You will coordinate testing with the Product Development team and act as the primary technical contact for test activities.

Responsibilities include defining test protocols, developing methodologies, and guiding lab staff across shifts to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or ME Tech; MS/PhD preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with a BS.
• Basic understanding of testing, lab practices, and department metrics.
• Proficient use of common laboratory test equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Occasionally able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct performance and lifecycle testing on assigned projects and products.
• Develop test methods, fixtures, and test systems; set up and execute tests.
• Define test protocols and methodologies; coordinate testing with other lab equipment.
• Act as testing representative between Lab and Product Development team.
• Guide lab staff on priorities, scheduling, and documentation; support 2nd/3rd shift as needed.
