Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled engineer to collaborate with clinicians and investigators to develop novel computational tools for patient-specific decision-making. The role focuses on applying advanced modeling and data analysis to inform surgical and clinical strategies.

The candidate will lead development efforts, coordinate cross-disciplinary projects, and disseminate findings through conferences and publications, contributing to innovative pediatric care and research

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• At least five years of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of computational models (3D structural finite element methods and reduced-order CFD) to aid patient-specific decision-making.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and nurses to obtain data for quantitative modeling.
• Coordinate and execute engineering activities to meet goals within timeframe and budget.
• Translate clinical needs into technical roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables with healthcare partners.
• Develop workflows and procedures for pre-surgical modeling and provide data-driven feedback to stakeholders.
• Organize meetings with clinicians and engineers to foster collaboration.
