Job summary

The Cardiovascular Biomechanics Computation Lab at Stanford University seeks a SimVascular Software Engineer and Architect to advance patient-specific modeling and FDA-ready software preparation.

Responsibilities include leading svMP development, refactoring, performance profiling, GPU acceleration, automated testing, and cross-lab collaboration, while mentoring researchers across collaborating labs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in C++ and OOP paradigms.
• Experience delivering software in healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with high-performance computing environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and contribute to svMultiPhysics (svMP).
• Oversee solver refactoring and future FDA submission readiness.
• Plan development, testing, hardening, and architecture decisions.
• Implement quality control, profiling, and efficiency improvements.
• Lead automated testing and GPU acceleration efforts.
• Review contributions from team members and coordinate documentation.
