Job summary

AtriCure, a leading medical device company, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to develop, qualify, and validate manufacturing processes for heretofore market-leading products. You will participate in design for manufacturability, tooling decisions, and supplier coordination to deliver reliable, cost-efficient production models.

Role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, Lean practices, and rigorous process documentation to support quality systems and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 6+ years in manufacturing.
• Lead manufacturing projects with cross-functional teams.
• Review design for manufacturing and tolerances to optimize mold/tooling.
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes and QA protocols.

Responsibilities

• Review component designs for manufacturability and cost trade-offs.
• Assess tolerances and GD&T to ensure proper fits.
• Define high-level manufacturing systems and flow in projects.
• Coordinate parts/equipment fabrication and supplier selection.
• Lead process qualification strategies and documentation.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and sourcing teams.
