Job summary

AtriCure, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive development, qualification, verification and validation of manufacturing processes for market-leading medical devices.

Lead projects with internal and external teams, review designs for manufacturability, tolerances, and assembly methods, and pursue DFx and cost-reduction opportunities while ensuring QA compliance and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineer role.
• Lead manufacturing engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Experience reviewing component tolerances and applying GD&T.
• Ability to read blueprints and document manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Review component designs for manufacturability and cost/benefit trade-offs.
• Assess tolerances and manufacturing capabilities (machining, molding, casting, etc.).
• Evaluate assembly requirements and joining techniques (laser/ultrasonic welding, adhesives, over-molding).
• Define high-level manufacturing systems/flow and supplier selection.
• Coordinate parts fabrication and tooling, ensure proper documentation and compliance.
