Job summary

AtriCure, Inc. seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead development, qualification, verification and validation of manufacturing processes for market-leading medical devices.

You will drive design-for-manufacturing reviews, select suppliers, and develop robust processes for new products, while aligning with Lean, Six Sigma and cost-reduction goals. The role requires coordinating with internal teams and external partners, implementing process controls, and ensuring compliance with quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• 6+ years in a comparable manufacturing engineer role.
• Ability to lead product development teams with minimal guidance.
• Proficiency in selecting and qualifying manufacturing processes.
• Ability to review designs for manufacturability and tolerances.
• Experience coordinating equipment and fixtures development.
• Knowledge of process qualification strategies and GMP/quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and manufacturing projects with internal and external resources.
• Identify design for manufacturing opportunities and mold complexity trade-offs.
• Apply GD&T to achieve proper fits between parts and joining methods.
• Define high-level manufacturing systems/flow and supplier selection.
• Develop and document process qualification strategies and FMEAs.
• Coordinate tooling, fixtures, and equipment schedules and costs.
• Ensure documentation per quality systems and cross-functional communication.
