Job summary

AtriCure, Inc. is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing strategies, scalable assembly processes, and equipment for new product development.

You will guide concurrent engineering, drive DFMA, and push Lean/Six Sigma improvements across cross‑functional teams to improve quality, cost, and scalability. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with suppliers, and manage CapEx justifications while ensuring alignment with quality systems and regulatory requirements for medical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Eng., Biomedical Eng. or Mechanical Eng. or equivalent is required.
• 10+ years of related experience developing new manufacturing processes and the tooling, fixtures, and equipment required for implementation.
• Knowledge of Lean Processes and Continuous Improvement
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability
• Experience with medical device design and manufacture
• Experience with FDA regulatory controls and ISO 13485 would be a plus

Responsibilities

• Leads the development of manufacturing strategies, scalable assembly processes, and equipment architectures for new products.
• Mentors engineers and partners with suppliers to advance manufacturability and cost targets.
• Drives DFMA, DFA, Lean and Six Sigma practices within cross‑functional teams.
• Oversees design for manufacture improvements and risk mitigation activities.
• Prepares business cases for CapEx investments and manages project schedules and budgets.
