Job summary

AtriCure, Inc. is seeking an Associate Engineer to contribute to design, development, testing, and manufacturing of medical device products under supervision.

You will apply foundational engineering principles, data analysis, and problem solving to support products and processes, ensuring quality and patient safety. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and suppliers to complete technical assignments, maintain documentation, and help deliver cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline and ability to read technical specs
• Foundational knowledge of product development, manufacturing methods, or quality systems
• Ability to collect and analyze data, solve problems, and troubleshoot technical issues
• Ability to prepare clear, accurate technical documentation and work instructions
• Effective written and verbal communication in a collaborative team
• Experience with cross-functional teamwork and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, process development, manufacturing support, quality, and continuous improvement
• Perform technical research, analysis, calculations, and testing for products and processes
• Assist in design, build, evaluation, and refinement of components, assemblies, fixtures, and tooling
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
• Plan and execute testing, analyze data, and communicate conclusions
• Support verification, validation, and design transfer activities per procedures
• Provide technical support for issues through troubleshooting and corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to meet project objectives
• Participate in design reviews, risk management, and process reviews
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, reliability, manufacturability, or cost
