Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a skilled billing coder to perform CPT/ICD-10 coding, charge entry, and reconciliation within our professional services group.

You will work closely with physicians and department administrators to ensure accurate reimbursement while following established policies. Remote work is allowed for MCW-registered payroll states, with a focus on compliant, timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Proficient CPT, ICD-10 CM coding with payer policy knowledge.
• Accurate charge capture and billing documentation.
• Ability to resolve edits and monitor charge flow.
• Ability to work with physicians and staff to obtain required information.

Responsibilities

• Assign or verify CPT, ICD-10 CM coding and modifiers.
• Resolve edits for electronic charges following policies.
• Coordinate professional service billings for selected departments.
• Provide out-of-office coding coverage as needed.
• Charge entry when required.
