Serco Inc. is seeking a Medical Coding Auditing Specialist to support the Defense Health Agency’s Medical Coding Program Branch. The role involves performing routine audits across DHA Markets, developing annual audit plans, and conducting targeted coding reviews to ensure compliance with official guidelines.

Candidates must have extensive coding credentials and relevant audit experience. The position requires collaboration through calls, virtual meetings, and onsite visits within CONUS/OCONUS

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Health Information Management or Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• University/college certificate in medical coding, or equivalent coursework.
• AAPC/AHIMA coursework or equivalent coding exam preparation required.
• Armed Forces medical training may qualify.
• 30 semester hours with anatomy/physiology, medical terminology, health information management, or pharmacology.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine audits of DHA Medical Coding programs across DHA Markets.
• Develop annual work plans based on enterprise risk factors.
• Conduct targeted coding and documentation audits as directed.
• Support DHA-MCPB in government surveillance audits and program improvements.
• Provide documentation of education in qualification package.
