Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking Medical Coding Auditing Specialists to support the DHA Medical Coding Program Branch (MCPB) across CONUS and possibly outside.

You will perform audits of DHA Facilities, help develop annual work plans, and provide direct support to DHA-MCPB in coding audit efforts. Ideal candidates will have advanced ICD-CM/CPT/HCPCS knowledge, strong revenue cycle understanding, and hold RHIT/RHIA/CPC/CCS-P-style certifications with at least seven years of auditing experience.

Qualifications

• Education in health information management or related field with coding coursework.
• Certification programs and exams in medical coding required.
• Auditing, coding, and compliance knowledge emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine audits of DHA Markets facilities and clinics.
• Support DHA-MCPB in developing an annual work plan of audits.
• Conduct targeted coding/documentation audits as directed.
• Assist DHA-MCPB with audits used for government surveillance.
