Serco Inc. in the United States seeks a Medical Coding Auditing Specialist to support the DHA Medical Coding Program Branch. You will perform routine audits, develop annual audit plans, and support government surveillance across DHA Markets, including CONUS and OCONUS engagements.

The role requires deep coding knowledge, CPT/ICD-10-CM expertise, and experience with audits in healthcare settings. Travel for onsite DHA visits may be required.

Competenze

• Formal education in health information management or related field.
• Proficient understanding of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards.
• Knowledge of PPS, DRGs, APCs and RBRVS reimbursement rules.
• Experience with revenue cycle and coding audits across multiple specialties.
• Familiarity with CMS, LCD/NCD, and OIG guidance and audits.

Mansioni

• Perform standard audits across DHA Facilities and dental clinics.
• Assist in developing an annual DHA coding audit work plan based on enterprise risks.
• Conduct targeted coding and documentation audits as directed.
• Support DHA-MCPB in government surveillance and audit activities.
• Document education and certification requirements in candidate packages.

Formazione

Associate degree or higher in HIM/Healthcare Administration or biological science

Medical coding certificate from college/tech school

≥30 semester hours in relevant coursework (anatomy, physiology, etc.)

AAPC/AHIMA coding exam prep course completion

Armed Forces training program in medical technology (as applicable)
