You will work day shift, full-time 80 hours per pay period, in a regional healthcare network across Northern Kentucky. A CPC certification or RHIT is required, with three years of coding experience.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of extensive diagnosis and procedural coding experience required.
• Professional coding experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records to determine ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding required for billing and reimbursement.
• Verifies data, abstracts pertinent information for charge entry, and collaborates with providers.
• Applies CPT-4 and ICD-10 standards to assign principal procedures and related diagnoses.
• Edits unbilled claim transmission reports and ensures accuracy for timely billing.
• Supports quality coding, audits, and responds to coding questions from providers and staff.
