Job summary

Qualifications

• RHIT/RHIA credential with ICD-10 curriculum and 3–7 years acute care coding experience.
• Alternative CCS may substitute for 1 year of acute care coding experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent requirement.

Responsibilities

• Code and abstract inpatient and ambulatory surgery records using ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT guidelines.
• Ensure accurate DRG assignments and coding consistency with established procedures.
• Coordinate with HIM and other departments to support accurate medical records and reimbursement.
