Job summary

Requires 5 years of coding experience, active AAPC/AHIMA credentials, and familiarity with CPT/ICD edits. Hybrid collaboration with physicians and staff is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two active certifications from AAPC or AHIMA required; expected to maintain credentials.

Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation to accurately assign ICD and CPT codes.
• Abstract information into computer systems for reimbursement and statistics.
• Stay current with healthcare coding trends and compliance.
• Train and mentor peers and assist management with coding audits.
• Work independently and collaboratively to support department goals.
