Job summary

Qualifications

• CCS or CPC certification with 1 year of current ICD-10-CM & CPT-4 ambulatory surgery and E/M coding.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with EMR, encoders, and related software.
• On-site evaluation of coding knowledge prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Code ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for ambulatory surgery and E/M records.
• Review medical records to assign accurate codes.
• Communicate with physicians regarding documentation requirements.
