Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Billing Coordinator II to join the Manhattan, Child Adolescent Psychiatry team. The role focuses on coding review, claim submission, charge reconciliation, and follow-up on denials to maximize revenue.

You will train practices on coding guidelines, collaborate with providers to improve documentation, and support payer communications to resolve issues, ensuring compliance and high-quality patient billing experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Detail oriented with high level of accuracy for reviewing charge batch submissions, analyzing and correcting coding denials, preparing, and presenting analyses.

Responsibilities

• Teach and share new information; provide feedback to management.
• Collaborate with practice staff to improve revenue and accuracy of information.
• Ensure timely collection, preparation, and verification of billing information in the billing system.
• Serve as liaison to coding vendor for questions and data requests.
• Review notes/documentation; correct coding; prepare appeals and reconsiderations.
