Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is seeking a Billing Coordinator I for Reproductive Specialists at Wall Street & Bethpage. The role focuses on coding review, claim submission, and follow-up on denials within the Central Billing Offices (FGP CBO).

You will provide reports, train practices on coding guidelines, and assist patients with financial responsibilities. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong multitasking and communication abilities, and knowledge of CPT/ICD-10

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Knowledge of CPT/ ICD-10 guidelines and payer policies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor reports and workqueues for coding and accounts receivable follow-up.
• Perform charge reconciliation to ensure revenue is captured.
• Follow up on unbilled charges with physicians or practice management.
• Identify documentation issues and suggest improvements to physicians.
• Coordinate with front-end staff to verify insurance information and benefits.
• Respond to inquiries and ensure compliance with payer rules and policies.
• Train staff on coding guidelines and ensure ongoing certification where applicable.
• Meet corporate CBO quality and productivity targets.
