Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance and registration data for encounters and may obtain pre-certification.
• Enters charges with accurate data entry of codes and ensures policy compliance.
• Runs missing charges, edits, denials, and appeals; posts denials timely.
• Posts all payments in IDX using approved methodologies.
• Mentors less experienced Billing staff and assists Billing Manager in training.
• Maintains knowledge of third party payor requirements.
