Job summary

Penn State Health Medical Group LLC in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support health care services, specimen collection, and administrative tasks such as scheduling and patient messages. The role is full time with an 8-hour day shift from 7:30a to 5:00p.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CMA or RMA eligibility within 90 days, and BLS certification (or within 6 months). Outpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet eligibility to sit for Medical Assistant exam within 90 days of employment and obtain CMA/RMA certification or hold CMA/RMA status.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 6 months of employment date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with health care services and obtaining specimens.
• Conduct routine laboratory studies of specimens.
• Coordinate patient flow, scheduling of appointments and message handling.
