Job summary

Penn State Health Medical Group LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Lancaster Pediatric Outpatient Center. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, hearing/vision screenings, and Point-of-Care testing, along with vaccines and patient flow coordination.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification as CMA or RMA within 90 days of employment or current CMA/RMA status.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and take vitals.
• Hearing and vision screenings and Point-of-Care testing.
• Administer vaccines and dispense oral medications and respiratory treatments.
• Collect swabs/specimens for testing/processing.
• Train new/added team members to ensure continuity of care.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
