Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support providers and patients in a busy primary care setting. You will take vitals, assist with procedures, and document in the EMR, while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout visits.

You will greet patients, manage scheduling and lab requests, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to maintain efficient practice operations. A Medical Assistant Certificate and 1–3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Take vital signs, weight, BP, pulse and temperature; perform EKGs and/or phlebotomy.
• Greet patients, answer questions and relay information to clinicians.
• Maintain patient records in EMR and ensure proper documentation.
• Support with lab tests, specimen collection and quality control.
