Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient care in a busy ambulatory practice. You will greet patients, collect information, and coordinate with physicians and nurses to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, performing EKGs, phlebotomy, assisting with procedures, maintaining records in the EMR, and contributing to quality control and practice improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts to exam rooms.
• Obtains vitals, weight, blood pressure, pulse and temperature, and assists providers with EKGs, injections and/or phlebotomy.
• Performs departmental screening, lab tests and specimen collection.
• Implements quality control standards.
• Assists with procuring medical records and managing EMR entries.
