The MA II will obtain vitals, perform EKGs and injections, assist with phlebotomy, and help with lab testing and records management. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to delivering high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and serves as a communication resource.
• Takes complete and accurate information from patients in person and by phone.
• Obtains vitals, weight, blood pressure, pulse and temperature, performs EKGs, injections and/or phlebotomy.
• Performs departmental screening, lab tests and specimen collection.
• Implements quality control standards.
• Adds new medications to patient records in EMR system.
