Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to join a busy ambulatory practice. You will greet patients, obtain vitals and perform EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy while assisting providers and ensuring efficient patient flow.

You will support training of MA staff, help maintain OSHA compliance, and document care in the EMR, contributing to high-quality patient service and accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and serves as a communication resource.
• Obtains vitals, weight, blood pressure, pulse and temperature.
• Performs EKGs, injections and/or phlebotomy, and assists providers.
• Supports practice operations and coordinates with staff to ensure smooth flow of patients.
• Maintains accurate patient records in EMR and retrieves records as needed.
